The Black Barn J&D House sits above Havelock North and shows the level of quality delivered by CJS Carpenters. Designed by Simon Clarkson, the home uses four modular wings that open or close based on season or daily use. Cameron led the build, coordinated trades, and worked with the architect to keep every detail aligned with the plan.

The exterior uses Western Red Cedar and fits into the hillside. Inside, the home features raked ceilings, oak flooring, custom cabinetry, and a polished concrete hearth with a steel fireplace surround. The main living area brings the kitchen, dining, and lounge together in a simple layout that supports daily living and hosting.

A full landscaping package links the indoor and outdoor areas for year-round use. Cameron continues to support the owners with ongoing work, which reflects the trust formed through this project.
